about

A song about the BLM movement in May of 2020. The murder of George Floyd was something that shook the world and gathered all those who refused to tolerate any more indecency. Despite the calamity the world was facing in the midst of the pandemic, people took a stand and we learned that, with the strength of a public that is unified in fighting for change, we can truly make a difference.

This is our way of saying "we could never experience what you experienced that day and likely won't in our lifetime. We would like to lend you whatever platform or frustration we have to you, should you want or need it."

lyrics

Cerulean crusaders are bending their knees to the blind
And under the weight falls the calm before a blackened sky
Paint the town crimson in fury, blood, and fire

And I can't say
That I know this pain as you do
But know that we will try to
Fight and stand beside you

Split earth and heaven open
Make haste to asphault plains
The ruby flood begins to show us
What waits in Jericho

Rubber cutting through the storm of poison mist
The civil scorch the earth to melt the iron fist
Sacrifice solace and strike to burst the cist

The system has failed
The coral God has retreated
And they're all but defeated
One rule for absolution
No surrender
